“The Thee-Act Menu” is a culinary research project that explores the intersection between food and storytelling.
Just as not all stories follow the three-act structure, our first act is inspired by nonlinear storytelling which corresponds to the concept of buffet.

Throwback to 7th june of 2026 when StoryLab participated in Print Bazaar 2026 organized by @42futur in our neighborhood at Artists’ Square in Prishtina. This time around we were happy to contribute with some fun activities like the Children’s Corner and the Collective Collage. Amazing printed works from posters, zines, artbooks, prints, stickers, and a lot more were accompanied by great music, awesome crowd, and amazing vibe. We hope to see you all again for the next edition.
During the final session of the Bookbinding Workshop led by Vjosa Maxhuni, the participants designed their own book covers which they incorporated onto the stitched books from the previous week. We also learned how to trim our books manually.
During the second session of the Bookbinding Workshop led by Vjosa Maxhuni, we worked on sewing and gluing our books. We found creative ways to exert weight on our works in progress.
For the last couple of weeks, we hosted the Bookbinding Workshop that was led by Vjosa Maxhuni. During our first session we learned the first steps of bookbinding. We learned how to use different tools, from bone folders to awls, and we separated our book into signatures to be stitched and glued in the next session.
We apologize to participants waitlisted due to high demand. We are working to set up new dates for the second round of workshops.

Join us for our 2-week bookbinding workshop. In this workshop, we’ll introduce you to the art of bookbinding and guide you through the Coptic binding stitch. By the end, you’ll have a finished, handmade notebook.
In the first two sessions, you’ll learn the fundamentals of bookbinding and begin sewing your own book. In the third session you will create your personalized cover and learn how to attach it to the notebook.
Sessions will be led by Vjosa Maxhuni, graduate student in Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Leon Sylejmani është student në vitin e fundit të studimeve Bachelor në Filozofi në Universitetin e Prishtinës, me fokus në filozofinë e gjuhës, metafizikës, fenomenologjisë dhe estetikës. Puna e tij akademike udhëhiqet nga një interes i gjerë mbi mënyrën se si gjuha dhe arti formësojnë realitetin përreth nesh. Ai është i angazhuar aktivisht në art si kryeredaktor i revistës së kolektivit ___. ku merret me teoretizimin dhe prezantimin e artit bashkëkohorë në Kosovës. Jashtë kësaj, ai luan bass në dy bende, duke ruajtur një lidhje të fortë me muzikën si formë shprehjeje. Gjatë rritjes, Leoni ishte i tërhequr nga dizajni grafik dhe kaloi kohë duke eksploruar programimin, përvoja që vazhdojnë të ndikojnë në mënyrën se si ai i qaset sot si artit ashtu edhe teorisë.

During our tenth and final session of “Book as an Artwork” workshop we reviewed works in progress of participant’s personal zine and artbook projects. From works in early conceptual stages and all the way to finished mockups, we commented on the work of our peers, discussed things that worked well and gave constructive suggestions.
We discussed the importance of prototyping your artbook at different stages of the process, the benefits of small and bite sized print runs, as well as editorial and design processes.
We were honored to have such a variety of talented and hardworking individuals who produces amazing artworks that we are very excited to share with you in our upcoming publications.
This program is made possible with the generous support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosovo.
During October 2025, as StoryLab we were very honored and exited to collaborate with the University of Prishtina’s Sociology Department, Poetics of Walkability, Czech Technical University’s Faculty of Architecture, and Pro Peace with “Prishtina Walkability” workshops.
StoryLab contributed with creative writing workshops alongside multidisciplinary array that included architecture, urbanism, sociology, anthropology, gender studies, memory studies, among others.
During out first session we did an exercise to create stories inspired by memories of the walk through Prishtina from the previous day. Different paths taken alongside personal interests and points of view led to emergence of many themes. This led us to discuss psycho-geography as an art movement, as well as showcasing of some art books that use walking as a theme. We then proceeded with a writing exercise that encouraged the participants to use their memories to create short stories.
During our second session we explored uses of memory in literature — form Proust’s madeleines all the way to Baldwin’s non-fiction. Then we continued by discussing participant’s draft ideas for the final multidisciplinary projects. Based on the themes we looked at literary works by Borges and Italo Calvino, and proceeded with writing exercises directly inspired by these writings.
During our third session participants presented works that fell under three common themes that had emerged: 1. (in)visibility – about the activism in Prishtina during the 90s, 2. City as an Archive and 3. City of Duality – about gender, freedom, and lack thereof. These featured literary texts, poetry, photography, audio, video, drawings, and other forms of multimedia arranged throughout the map of Prishtina.

On the second day of “In Between | Në Mes | Dazwischen” on Saturday 15th of November, the halls of the Prishtina Bus Station were transformed by the sound and the musical performance of ZWADA.
On a cold November night many a traveler stumbled upon unexpected tunes like “Burn in Hell”, “Lady’s Eyes”, “Falma Hanën” and “Hajde puthëm”, as they found themselves in between destinations.
As the performance in Munich was going as scheduled within a moving bus, back in Prishtina we organized a metaphorical welcome with music – like triumphs of old – for the bus that would be indefinitely held “in between”.
The Prishtina-Munich link was again reinforced through “Interstitial Ghosts”, an interactive digital art installation, by Endrit Jashanica and Futur Studio, where audiences met and interacted with each other.

We kicked off “In Between | Në Mes | Dazwischen” at Prishtina Bus Station on Friday 14th of November with “Well for Fountain”, a performance by Valdrin Thaqi and Svenja Schafer, interpreted by Klara Grapci-Gërmizaj and Art Pasha with music composed and interpreted by Viola Rrecaj. The performance took place against the backdrop of passengers rolling their luggage and buying bus tickets, in an “in between” space amidst a static audience and people in transition.
It was followed with a culinary experience by Rebeca Werkmann, that fused Kosovar and German cuisines. These “in between” delicacies epitomize through food the conceptual link between Prishtina and Munich.
While the Prishtina event, organized by StoryLab, was ongoing, the event in Munich organized by dasvinzenz, happened at the same time in the form of a series of performances inside a moving bus (which would symbolically transport the Munich audience to Prishtina).
Both events spread across time and space were brought together by “Interstitial Ghosts”, an interactive digital art installation, by Endrit Jashanica and Futur Studio, where audiences from both Prishtina and Munich could meet and interact with each other in a virtual “in between”-space.
