Description
In this issue we delve deep inside the brain as the original machine able to fabricate realities, we explore if there is a difference between an organic and a synthetic mind, and we wonder if synthetic organisms should have the same rights as organic ones. We also explore the worth between real and virtual worlds and if experience in one should have primacy over the other. Here we not only explore altered mental states, but those that are physical, societal, and cultural.
In this issue you can read stories about a fembot that gains free will, an insomniac who begins to question reality, an anthropologist exploring the blurring of lines between the virtual and the real world, a man who is transmogrified into a dog, a surreal wedding that turns bloody in the wake of corruption riots, and a society where everyone is honest and sincere thanks to a giant machine in the middle of the city.
